'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first important trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly think about extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract discussions could commence in the coming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring form continues to amaze
